This is my try at making a branch with no invitees.

I've always casually listened to BBC Radio 1's essential mixes to explore some of my favourite DJ's, but I am more seriously looking through all of the mixes to start building a curated list of some of my favourites.

If there are any listeners on Branch out there, what's your favourite essential mix?

Mine would have to be by the Twelves - they've got such a unique twist on dance music and I love how they say they perform their music remixes live.

The Twelves is my favorite too but I also love Alesso's.

Right on dude, I will make sure to check out Alesso's as I haven't heard it yet.

Hopefully when discovery happens on Branch we'll get some more input from the community. Until then, I'm keeping this convo open. Feel free to ask to participate!

There are so many great Essential mixes is hard to name just one.

My favorites over the last 2-3 years or so have been:

This is how I first discovered SBTRKT, not a great live band, but awesome beats.

@Andrew The Netsky mix is incredible. If you're into that kind of D&B, I would also recommend High Contrast. He's had a number of mixes on the Essential Mix and they've all been awesome.

@Mehdi I downloaded SBTRKT last week. It was seriously trippy. Not ideal for listening on low amounts of sleep, haha.

@Andrew - Netsky is a good shout - Boris is one of the most talented D&B producers around.

One of my favorites is the 2002 Essential Mix from Danny Howells mxtr.fm, he goes through several genres. So far this year, mi favorite one has been from Maceo Plex mxtr.fm, great selection.

Jamming to the Maceo mix as we speak. 24 min mark is dope!
