Okay. I think I am even more confused then before. So our teams (like production, technology etc...) no longer exist, right? Why was the reasoning for this change never explained in the email? Why did we not get any input in this? This is so frustrating.

But regardless: I think we should create something where the audience/user feels empathy by experiencing what a foster kid feels. I think the most defined world for the foster kid is in the foster home. There they probably feel the most confined and controlled. Though, I bet they feel labeled and judged in the classroom amongst non-foster kids, too.

As for class, we created the three groups to kick off the three experiences on campus since we now want to do three instead of one. This lets us experiment with more types of experiences and lets more people can take the lead in shaping them. But your five groups around production, tech, story, community, and experience design still stand and will eventually work on all three experiences.

Additionally, we want to be sure that the core theme for each of the three experiences is distinct. But there is room to evolve and change this theme as you develop your experience – so long as all three experiences/themes are distinct.

I preferred the whole-class one too... Will we still maintain the theme of LAB C? or it just changed? All the resources remain same but the experience splited into three. I am just a bit afraid of the quality of them. I don't know how other guys think.
However, to continue our discussion on the experience, I think we have to balance between fun and sense of empathy. They are contradictory mostly, To attract audience to participate, we still have to focus on how to make people feel fun instead of too much negative feelings. So the game mechanic is paramount in my opinion.

As for the three groups- I don't know what that means. Now we have to make three smaller experiences instead of one bigger one? With no money and barely any resources? In winter on a college campus in the middle of finals? Now we only have 4 people to work with instead of 15? This needs more thorough explanation.

Back to the project though...
I like the idea of some participants knowing things that others don't and pretending to act one way while really having an alternative objective in mind.

I agree with Paul that this still needs to feel like fun, and we can do that by tricking half the participants to think they are working towards winning when they are really being manipulated.

Where will this experience take place? And when?

Do we have a set date in mind to put this experience up? If so then it can't be outside- too many variables with weather.

What's an indoor location where people gather in a casual way? I literally only go to Dodge hall and know very little about the rest of campus...
