Branch isn't actually a social network. It's a conversation medium. Nothing like Facebook or Twitter thus. Have you watched the promo-video? It's describes Branch very well.

It's taking after Beansight. Both mentioned on TechCrunch. Although, Branch has that Social Media Celebrity endorsement.

@raimond It is a social network. It doesn't work without that "social" element. Yes, it may not be similar to Facebook and Twitter, but more like Quora+Twitter.

Well there's 'Social Media' websites, and 'Social Networks.'

I consider Digg and Quora to be in the Media category, versus a pure connection based site such as Twitter or Facebook.
