Maybe they'll strip it back down to something useful. And get rid of all the spambots. I have to admit, I only sign in to Messenger because of a few lagging friends.
Question is, what do they strip it down to? Tough to be a traditional IM network in a world of SMS and Facebook...
Agree with @dfeldman. If this is jetissoning it so they can reinvent real time messaging in a mobile/social context, then interesting. My guess is that it's on the way towards being sunsetted.
