How did you get involved in volunteer computing? What was your first project? Why are you a cruncher? How can we get others involved?

I honestly don't know. I learned about it from someone I knew from a Tea Forum, did a few google searches and read some articles and pages. Decided to join up, and figured out I loved it, and its been history every since.

Was given a somewhat large monetary gift recently, and while I really could have used putting it towards quite a few savings goals, I seriously considered putting together a rather state of the art machine basically only for crunching.
