I mean, here in Brazil we have subjects in Digital Design course, but in other countries? Which course do you choose?
Usability is another problem, because I've seen enterprises which look for people with degree in Computer Science, while we (design students) are studying and majoring in Usability.
When I was researching Design Colleges I looked at Core 77. But the difficult thing about UX Design is that its new and moving towards being designed instead of engineered. So the field is in transition period at the moment and the field has differing names I have found depending on location and occasionally school. Also look at Interaction or IxD Design.

Here in my college in Brazil, we are going to start next year a graduation in User Experience. In fact, people from next years of my degree (Digital design) are going to have UX as a subject (I envy them, haha).
But, its definition is still a little bit confusing. Some theorical says (and this is what I believe) that UX is the "whole thing", like this image: montparnas.com

I wanted to go deeper in this diagram. Is it refered in some book or some other place? I think I really needed the "definition" of each of this areas to understand the relations between then.

Actually, there is a "more elaborate" version in Dan Saffer's book. I've just pasted this one above because I wasn't remembering the author's name (but now I got my memory back).
Dan Saffer points differences among UX, IxD, UI etc... Different from what we have seen in universities terminologies (like we were discussing above with @weftech).
