OK, so I've grappled with the whole favorite band thing for quite some time and figure, why not have some fun with it? Favorite bands and songs, while obviously subjective, also are on-the-whole rather arbitrary and come and go with the times. I remember thinking Creed's "Higher" would be my pump-up anthem for decades. Not so true today. A casual fan will say the fad of the times and a critical listener may plead "too many to name". Alas, there's a happy medium.
Why not refine the question as "What songs give you goosebumps?". We cannot deny a physical effect a song may have on our body. It's connectivity to our psyche is buried deep down inside. We cannot control it...
...So let's say that, oh, if 7 of those songs come from a particular artist or band, then said artist or band can be counted as your favorite. Is 7 too many? Too little? Here are some bands that meet my own criteria:
