I've been looking into several UX training programs lately, and was wondering which ones are worth signing up for.
Did you attend any? How was it? What did you get out of it, and how do you apply what you learned in your day-to-day work?

Which training programs have you looked into so far? Are you looking into something like UX Intensive by Adaptive Path or something online? What are you wanting to learn? Is there a specific focus such as mobile or interaction design or IA?
Hi Timothy, I've been eyeballing with Cooper U, the HFI institute, evtl. Nielsen workshops. It seems there is much more on offer in the US than over here in Europe. Hence I am also open for online, although it would be great to have the hands on part.
Topics I'm interested in:
- Agile UX
- Lean UX
- Data Driven Personas
- Usability research with statistics (quantifying ux)
Have you heard anything about HFI? I am tempted to sign up.
There definitely is a lack in UX workshops and conferences in the Europe, though there are some like UXCampLondon or UX London. However, I can't personally speak for these conferences in Europe as I haven't attended any of these.
HFI has been around for quite some time and I haven't heard anything bad about them. They seem a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I'll chime in regarding collegiate paths. To fill the gaps in my Syracuse M.S. (and because I love education), I'm hoping and planning to enroll in Bentley University's online M.S. in Human Factors program. I've spoken directly with the program's head honcho, William Gribbons. He's a class act. I'm very impressed with the program and am hoping to fill the aforementioned training gaps, as well as establish a new line of networking with fellow students.
There is one program I highly discourage people from connecting with — DePaul University's Master's program in HCI. On paper, it seems to be okay, but once in the online program, I had one of the worst experiences of my educational career. I won't post details here.
