This is just a start but I think that non-hunting weapons including all handguns and assault rifles should harder to purchase. With strong vetting, these weapons can be openly sold but it needs better oversight. Maybe if you married certain aspects of the graduated licensing program (North Carolina's info is the Google docs link below) with rules for alcohol like BAC testing, ABC stores, no drinking under 21 you could come up with some more comprehensible ways to combat this.

You've already seen my opinion in my editorial, so you already know that I don't see a purpose to having firearms for sale at all, however I agree that more gun control is very necessary.

Of course, details are continuing to come out with each minute that passes, so stories aren't the same as they were before. It sounds as if some of the weapons that he had were registered under his mother's name.
