Your face when someone sends you a long and incoherent text about his/her problem via email. He/she explains that the project he/she is working on is a dead-end for him/her and asks for your help. The deadline is 3rd of Jan, today is 29th of Dec and it seems like you have to start the whole project from scratch.

And all of this because he/she has never thought correctly what he/she will have to do. And, of course, he/she is trying to make YOU understand what is wrong with the project. But you completely understand — the one who does not is him/her.

What do you do. You are friends. Will you tell him/her to solve on his/her own? And what about your conscience?

It's a very difficult situation, always. Friend are important of course, but we need to learn "how to say no" sometimes, i think. Couse after will be second, third times... you know that.

I understand. But what if he/she getting offended? I know, it's a two-sided question and everything depends on the other person, too, but in this case it could be a break of a friendship for a while.

I think its best that you let the person feel / know that you were with him/her through (his/her problem) the 3rd of January...

Weigh how much this friend of yours mean to you... if its worth it i suggest you go ahead and help.... otherwise....

show this person the right way. I know he/she is wrong but try not to rub it in...
