Stale argument. Lean Startup is about so much more than MVPs. For some reason the OP seems to think that if you knock down the importance of MVPs the whole castle of Lean comes crashing down, but that's a pretty big mistake right there.

Lean Startup is all about preventing one from building things that no one else wants. If you're going to do that with or without an MVP, it makes no difference.
