I know we're a mixed crowd here on Branch, so I'd like to get your opinion on how artists and enthusiasts can relate going forward in a way that neither jeopardizes artists' livelihoods nor belittles enthusiasts' contributions to artistic culture. Let's kick it off with three questions:
1. Pick an art form you want to discuss. Do you consider yourself an artist, an enthusiast, or a user?
2. (For artists:) What problems have you faced in getting users/customers interested in art enough (and YOUR art especially) to make them into enthusiasts and patrons?
3. (For users/enthusiasts:) Do you feel like artists seek to "connect" with you in sharing their love of their form? If so, how do they do it? If not, how might they?
