In my social media universe I manage several pages, circles and other accounts that Klout doesn't even connect to. I've seen an increasing number of news articles about employers using Klout scores to rate prospective employees. This concerns me as Klout is limited in *its* reach so how can it judge mine? Would you be comfortable applying for a job where your Klout score was one of the criteria used to determine if you qualify for the position?

This is a cringe inducing topic. Not you for bringing it up, but the possibility that someone would actually weight employment based on a Klout score.

At the same time, weighing your employment on a Klout score will show you that the company (or individual) that you're interviewing with isn't on the same page as you are and perhaps you need to reevaluate your desire to work there.

Is there an industry that would benefit from judging someone on their Klout scores?
