As many of us know, SEO is an ever-changing art/science that rely on collaboration, new ideas and a lot of knowledge. This year, with Google's latest updates, many of the "traditional" SEO practices were left invalid and others were promoted. What do you think will be next year's trends and best practices?

I've been researching a lot lately and think that Microdata will have more authority in the near future.

Microdata involves more in-depth thinking and work from the SEO team and surely Google and other search engines are showing information with microdata as top results.

Schema.org and ogp.me are great sites to learn about this particular "description of meta descriptions"

As HTML5 spreads, technical SEO (correct mark-up) will gain importance. I don't know if it's going to happen in 2013 but automatic content recognition in image/video/audio data by Google can't be far away.
