Purged from the archives after some mild arm-twisting on Halifax Locals (travel back to the simpler times of 2004/2005), here are a couple fundraising compilations (proceeds go to Feed Nova Scotia and the Khyber Arts Society) featuring B.A. Johnson, The Maynards, Urban Surf Kings, Death by Nostalgia, and many more local acts.

There's also Christmas At The Khyber from 2003 (and the subject of my first post on the halifaxlocals message board. Too bad I already posted here, or it could have been my first on branch.other.halifax.forum as well). It was that compilation that in part inspired the RtS compilations that I made.

There's also the Cinnamon Toast 4-track Christmas tape. swac posted it up on megaupload, but now that the site has been FBI'd I'm not sure it's available anywhere anymore. Maybe ask him nicely. I also have a copy, but have never digitized it. Maybe some more mild arm-twisting is in order. It was pretty star-studded (if you like mid-90's Halifax indie-rock stars), with Thrush Hermit, Rebecca West, Al Tuck, Li'l Orten, etc, all contributing songs.
