I wonder if the new iTune will support music subscriptions a la Spotify.

Yesterday I would have said: I think 23 october. Now I'm saying: 23 october. It will be announced with the iPad Mini, Eddy Cue already said that it would be late october and that seems to point to the event (or the release of the iPad Mini, but I don't think so).

Guess after october 20, but before 23 (forward to updating 21 or 22).

@Stas, explain? I think you have an interesting view, but I don't get it.

And the topic. I hope that Apple would jump in and start streaming or music subscriptions. iTunes 11 really looks like being made for it (especially the coming up feature). More players in the field will mean lower margins for the music industry and cheaper products for us, the consumers. And that would be really great. I hope it will come to the Netherlands soon afterwards, otherwise I'm going to buy a lot of US iTunes gift cards.. ;)

@Raimond... Something from the verge of fantasy: October 20, updated itunes. October 23, Tim Cook inlet his opening speech at the launch said: "What a wonderful three days after itunes upgrade to version 11, it downloaded 4 billion users of Apple", it will be in the style of apple. :)

@Stas great one! I would like if they would do this: launching iTunes 11.0 in the days before the event. Than starting the event with the usual numbers, ending with your "What a wonderful .. users of Apple" followed by: "and we got the first update for you now!" and announcing a streaming/subscription service.
