My director asked me to pick up a pack of toilet paper and to pick up a few creates of books to deliver to my branch. She then asked if they covered this sort of thing in Library School (in jest, of course). It made me thing that we have all done something in the "Other Duties as Assigned" category...

Mine two would be creating talking points for local politicians and having my design team create logos for other organizations. I also think talking down three huffers definitely falls in that category.

What about you?

- drilling holes in tables for security stands that will display devices.
- driving/supervising/assisting prisoners moving furniture out of an airplane hangar.
- being put in prison by Klingons...and finding out your coworker caused it.

I've done the security devices for displays but the Klingons brought this up a level.

Last week we had a pretty huge computer outage here, all on the staff side of things. It was on a Saturday and no one in here knew how to fix it so I was the default person.

Not sure if that's exactly what we're talking about but it is along those lines!
