I'm considering to buy a new tablet for reading ebook and surfing on internet. Which device should I choose?

I would also go for the Nexus 7 because of its great 7 inch screen and portability, a lot of eBooks to choose from and for surfing you'll have Google Chrome for easy syncing bookmarks and tabs, if needed.
