I may try this out for an upcoming project. Tough to compete with Twilio though as they have all of the mindshare and tons of existing code to learn from (including client libraries).
The international story may be where they could shine. I know for one project we've been working on unicode texting was an issue with Twilio, though it may be resolved now.
