The book for October was Morning Glories, Volumes 1 & 2. Have something to say about the introduction to this mind-bending and mysterious series?
I like it, but I guess I can see why some people might not. I does, especially at the beginning, seem to be a bit obtuse for no good reason. However, I've been through it twice and it's actually pretty interesting to read when you've got a bit more context.
Also, I get the comparisons to Lost (it's also clear they are shooting for that) but once it gets going it seems to move away from that a bit. And, for what it's worth, I was never a huge fan of Lost. I found it directionless and meandering and tensionless.
I don't see Morning Glories the same way. Again, it could be because I'm further along, but I find some of the mysteries and characters pretty compelling, if not especially deep.
