The primary concept: Apple Store-ifying the Big Box Experience. Reduce the showroom effect and give people the one-on-one interaction and service that they don't receive online (while incorporating some of the ease of online through streamlined checkouts etc)
I agree to this approach for niche experiences - her example works really well for Best Buy and Sur La Table. Will it work for grocers? For Target and Wal-Mart?
As much as I love online shopping, the thing I still prefer about shopping at the store is the ability to try things on. Sure, it's great that the clothes can come to me but the return process is still arduous via the USPS, when will that get updated?
