Well, I guess I'd have to ask what you mean by anti-partisan? Do you mean independent? Or do you mean you were opposed to any political parties? Or you were just apposed to our two party system (you pref more than two).
I have my own reservations on James Madison. Just like the rest of our founding fathers, they had some good ideas, but I'd hardly say they got everything right. For example, I'm strongly opposed to their view of democracy.
If you mean independent, than I agree. Ive never felt the need to be part of a "team" politically. I totally understand why and how these teams are born just like gangs or cliques in school, but as Sam knows, I like to vote on issues rather than people. I have some issues I feel strongly about and I vote who im most aligned with.
I wouldn't say I'm anti-partisan tho. I'm anti-two party systems, but that's a different topic :)
