I know Joss Whedon is like respectable or something nowadays; but let's be honest Angel is really campy show. Still, I love it and have watched at least 3 or 4 times.

Should I feel guilty or not?

I haven't ever watched it or any of the buffy stuff. I should add Robey to this group.

I didn't try watching it until its final season, when it became a host for refugees of Buffy. It was a cute premise (vampire with soul tries to run an evil law firm) but I couldn't really get into it before it was cancelled.

I tried watching the pilot episode with my boyfriend, and it felt like a slow-motion disaster. Vampire moves to LA to become a private eye? Isn't that like all the 80s "private eye with a twist" shows? (He has a talking car! They can only visit crime scenes by boat/helicopter!)

I vote "trash", but not "guilty trash" because you can always defend it by mentioning Whedon.

If you haven't watched Seasons 2 or 3, then you've missed the best part. When Angel fathers Pete Campbell from Mad Men, shit gets really real.

Also the whole demon-karaoke-bar device is maybe the best thing ever done in any show ever.

God I love when daemons hang out in seedy underground clubs. I was hoping the second season of True Blood would go into the inner workings of a vampire club but alas it did not :(

Did the demon on Angel ever come out? He was one of the gayest characters I've seen on TV, outside of Will & Grace.

WTF he died at 33 from problems resulting from a dental infection: en.wikipedia.org. Wow. Rough.
