We have our own product roadmap for the Tumblr app going forward, but I'd love to hear from the users about what new features you'd like to see in 2013!

I would love for quite a few things. I would like for the tabs to be swishable like this - d.android.com
Possibly inline GIF playing depending on resources, although I can see it's probably quite problematic. Also with the posts list I keep getting "Load more posts" in the middle and it just feels odd compared with the dashboard on tumblr.com. Also the notifications are irritating and Google have advised against their use, something at the top of the view could just say "4 posts uploading...", although when shared from another application the notifications are good (I think)
To make it even more fantastic I think tablet support with multiple columns (instead of a pure ListView) would be nice (masonry-like)
Features:
- HTML / Theme editing
- 'Mega Editor' with a contextual action bar
- Push notifications
- Ability to reblog from one of your own blogs to another from the stream
- Add tutorials / tips for the various (awesome) long-press features
Little things:
The quick reblog icon has a strange white border, but only on the right side; maybe consider making the dividers between list items less stressed / blend in more; the ask / mail option in the overflow on a profile has an icon, nothing else does; in notifications if someone has followed one of your blogs and you click your blog's profile picture, you are taken to the new follower's profile, not the blog's.
Questions:
What was the thinking behind the different transitions between screens?
Yeah, I like the left-right slide transition (sorry, I don't know which variation that is). It seems to fit in well with the app. It's smooth and seems to simplify the browsing experience; it makes everything in the navigation seem like it's taking a much more linear path which, in turn, improves the navigability of the app.
What else are you working on? On the iOS Branch, they said they're working on read-later solutions, but I guess Android's Intents has that sorted.
Thanks for your feedback! Team Branch
