Halifax Locals is dead. Long live Halifax Locals?

It is truly strange to see it in the news. I hope I can get the hang of this new format!

I was wondering how we start threads in the 'not halifax locals' section?

Do you have a “talk” option on the top of the screen? If so, you can create a branch and invite people without including “The Other Halifax Forum”. I can also just go to branch.com and there is a big spot to post a Thought (Idea, question, or topic), Media (Photo, video, or song), Links (Site, blog post, or article), or Tweets (Continue a conversation).

This is a new service, so I am not sure what rights and abilities new users are given. I asked to be able to create groups, for example.

Looks like I can create groups and respond to branches open to the groups I'm a part of.

Yea I think at the moment I am only allowed to post on others topics. I did ask for an invite, so see how that goes.

Although I plead complete ignorance as I am not a user, I always viewed Reality Check as being much more “bro” friendly than Locals and yes, that isn't really a good thing in my books.
