Hey guys,

I thought I’d start shooting round thoughts, ideas, questions, et cetera for us to ponder together as guys in Mosaic. They can be a trigger for some online conversation but that could maybe spill out to occasional meet ups.

Todays questions stem from my reading this morning of the first few chapters of John's gospel. These two verses were the trigger for my thoughts:

John 3:18: "Those who do not believe are condemned already."

John 3:36: "Whoever disobeys the son will not see life, but must endure God's wrath"

And these triggered some questions:

- What does it mean to be "condemned" and to "endure God's wrath"—in a very practical, tangible, experiential sense?

- What does this look like?

- Is Jesus referring to hell?

It can't be good - but then God is good It makes me wonder if we think we're more grown up than we think we are. Maybe it's like how, when you discipline a kid, they get upset and cry - you're repositioning their choices and it frustrates them, but ultimately teaches. It's a loving change. I see a lot of grown-ups who make choices a lot worse than the choices kids make. Still, this doesn't help - I still see no opportunity for some wrath-administration, or what it looks like.

I will investigate.
