I've had a few people recently ask me to sort out guestlists to gigs for reviewing purposes. I just wanted to say to you all that I'm very happy to do this, obviously can't always guarantee getting it & the more niche the gig the more likely it is!

Also, we get invites to lots of shows from PR people. Would it be useful if I listed these somewhere like the albums?

Yep! I've reviewed many albums in the past and been to gigs with my girlfriend who also reviews, but never actually had to do one for myself until Boris the other day. It's a great experience and very different to reviewing a record. I'd recommend it to everyone and would certainly do it again depending on the band.

Yes, a list of available gigs for reviewing would be nice! Although Dan, you know quite well where people live and if you get a gig offered near them you can ask them directly?

That's what I have been doing to a point but often I'll get a whole set of tour dates sent through so it's not always that obvious who'd want to go.

Yes, a conversation/note/spreadsheet for gig reviews is a good idea.

I still think a shared Evernote notebook for Echoes and Dust could be very useful for many things, but that would require everybody to install it... Who's using Evernote here?

I agree that doing gig reviews is fun and I encourage it. People like reading them too. I encourage getting there for the whole thing. You never know when that first support is going to end up being big and think of the street cred!
I believe Dan is particularly good at getting your name on the door at free shows :)
