just for the record, I believe in people. Bush, Obama, who ever. Its my country too, I want whom ever wins to be successful. While my personal beliefs may not be the same as someone else's, I believe my fathers fathers (and most likely yours too) fought and died to give us the right to each have our own opinions. We should not fight against each other but for each other.
Gore has gotten rich off of global warming fear mongering. I am an outdoors kind of guy, I believe in taking care of my earth, recycling and leaving nothing but tracks. But selling 'carbon credits' making millions, owning homes that use as much power as a small town, private jets and limos...well he doesn't practice what he preaches. FWIW

Is it fair to say fear mongering when referring to the most radical climate conditions that have created an unprecedented and growing number of storms over the last few years? Fear, yes, but justifiably so. In America it seems action only happens when we experience horrific events. Why not get ahead of the curve?

Why is it ok for him to tell me how to live my life, then go and do what ever he pleases? I am not saying that I am against taking care of mother earth. But I am against someone getting rich off of something they don't practice. (And our earth has been through far more radical changes, weather or not we survive is another thing). But the earth will. Can we be be so arrogant to believe that we are the cause of this? Our earth goes through changes constantly, ice ages, plate shifts. Humans 200,000 years on earth are but a spec of the history of our planet. We are not the cause of what is going on, nor do we have the power to stop if the earth wants to change it will. Weather we agree or not.
I do believe in taking care of it.

and I forgot rule number one, leave the politics, sex and religion at the dinner table. Sorry, I try and keep my post about things I am passionate about, cycling, outdoors, photography my family. But ever so often some one rubs me the wrong way, Al Gore (and I do thank him for his service) is one of those people. He needs to learn to lead by example. I am not disagreeing with change starting with me, I am against profiteering off of forced guilt. I practice what he preaches, he needs too....
