There's a lot to dislike about Congress but I think you've chosen bad examples.
Insider trading has always been against SEC laws and the Congressional health care is not unlike what would be offered to any important executive or consultant. Most of these people are already wealthy, accomplished and successful. Let them have a free haircut.
What's to dislike is the herd mentality and the lack of statesmanship. Congress is too worried about winning rather than improving the problems in our country.
While we're at it, we citizens should concentrate more on our opportunities and less on our rights.
