Generation generalizations aside, don't we all want better company culture? I agree with most of the article's assertions about the shifts in company culture and how things like ROWE, unlimited vacation, and (shocking) a respectful culture are part of attracting and retaining top talent. However, I'm not as comfortable with attributing the cause of this shift to sweeping assumptions about an entire age group. In my experience, the differences between individuals within a generation are as great or greater than the differences between generations.
What do you think? Is company culture changing largely because of demographic shifts in the working population or is there another cause?
