I personally think there are very limited ways to use NFC, and can count on two fingers the number of times I've used it to pay for or share anything.

Do any of you use NFC at all? If so, what kinds of tasks do you use it for, and do you see it gaining widespread usage?

Nope. I have an iPhone so no NFC for me. I actually haven't even used Passbook yet either, nor do I use Square. Even if the iPhone did have NFC, not enough places support it.

I used it to transfer web pages and photos when I had two Galaxy SIII phones in the house. It was more of a novelty, than something useful I would use during the day. Now that I have an iPhone, I don't miss NFC at all.

I see it gaining widespread usage when retailers/other manufacturers start to adopt it and it becomes seamless in its usage. If neither of those happen, then NFC will slowly disappear.
