All we know that the times are changing so fast, the level of interactive-communication in nowadays is amazing. We can talk in real-time, be updated since morning to night, etc. The information runs everywhere, and now, all of us have the posibility to look for new atractive information to us. Undoubtedly, under this active search process we are more open to learn things that we want it. So, If we want to obtain the most higher performance It will not be necessary a big change in the dynamics of educational instutitions? Could be on-line courses the future of the high education? I bet it is. Because the world and the knowledge fields are more and more increasingly interwined and we need an eclectic formation. So, we need more flexibility.

If it isn't yet, it will likely soon be. Traditional universities have been stubborn at adapting to rapid changes in learning paradigms. The demand for knowledge and information is vastly outstripping the demand for diplomas. And rightly so. The world has left the "factory-age" long ago. You are right. I think that right now we are seeing the transition. Step by step this new paradigm is taking shape, and not only because a fashion tendency. For me, is more closer to a natural/social demand. The individual motivation was always there, but is in these times when we can see how people can reach out information when they want it. Is like a personal academic-formation, and as usual, when something in the culture is changing the institutionalization enter in action to take control and regulate. The best consequences of that is see how the social leitmotiv is taking control to satisfy their needs. Althought the insitutions can win the control finally... However, these new ways are more closer to our inner development.
