What does it mean to be honest in digital design?
I'm still struggling over this.
There's two sides of this for me: communicating to an audience in a way they find appropriate to consume whatever information exists. The way this has been done in the past digitally is predominantly through relating digital tasks with an aesthetic existing in the physical realm. The problem that I'm having now is realizing that those restrictions are false. The digital interface has very few restrictions. So aren't we just creating false rules and trends fueled by preconceived notions? And if so, isn't that incredibly dishonest?
There has to be a way to communicate digitally without relying on physical attributes outside the interface.
