Apple introduced the iPad mini, a completely new iPad design that is 23 percent thinner and 53 percent lighter than the third generation iPad. Is there a market for a device smaller than an iPad but bigger than an iPhone? Would Steve Jobs be happy with the release of the iPad mini? What does this mean for the Kindle and Android tablets?

Personally, I like how small the iPhone is for carrying around with me all the time. The iPad is a great size for when I want to compute while sitting on the couch. The iPad mini is too large to carry with me all the time, and too small to be useful while lounging around the house.

I have an iPad mini.

After having a retina devices, the non-retina display looks awful. After a weekend with the device, you get used to it.

I can hold the iPad in one hand comfortably and operate it with the other if I need to. It seems like a subtle difference but it has made using the device much nicer to use. 

I've used it extensively for email, Flipboard, and games. The iPad experience has not degraded because of a smaller screen size. 

I am going to replace my iPad with the iPad mini. It is one of those things that you don't know how great it is until you use it.

Once they upgrade the screen to retina, it would be the perfect iPad. I think the iPad mini line is going to be the best selling iPad model in the next couple years.
