35 years after Deleuze and Guattari introduced their Rhizome theory it has been applied to music, cinema, literature and even architecture. Multiplicity, hypertextuality, ideas growing and connecting with others, giving way to new ideas. For me in the days of social media ideas and information have a rhizome-like existence. But I guess the term "viral" is catchier.
