When we reply to someone inside a Branch, a lot of us either mention the person by name or with an @mention. It should be nice when those mentions became clickable like Facebook does or maybe even better, clickable to the post (inside the Branch) that you are responding to. Of course this isn't something for the direct future, but worth considering for later.

I'm not opposed to this, but I'm also not super eager. If I'm involved in a Branch, it is pretty easy to read through it all and if my name is mentioned, I'll catch it.

A nice feature, but I also kind of like that Branch is more about the content, less about the people.

We are still just four engineers and two designers, though, and because (like Noah mentioned) most branches are pretty intimate to start, this is going to be an awesome, slam dunk nice-to-have — once we have a little bit more bandwidth to work on it :)

@Justin is right. Connecting with and/or following Branchers outside of Twitter is a must have at some point.

One possibility for the destination of clickable names:

I've found myself wanting to see instead what the user has done on Branch itself on some kind of profile page. It'd be great to see something like that—configured by default for total privacy, showing just name, avatar and Twitter profile link, with options for revealing your activity, group memberships, and so on.

Might be a nice side benefit to do something productive with all that outbound traffic! I think Branch could expose people to new branches in a flow that starts with reading an interesting comment and wanting to know more about the writer.
