Yay, those reviews are so fantastic, thanks for tipping me off to #5. They coined the phrase LUPINE TUMESCENCE, and for that they have my eternal respect. I have to disagree with them here, though. I find Bella's character arc so unsatisfying! All she ever wants is this one dude, and he acts really creepy and possessive and occasionally threatens to do her serious bodily harm (so romantic!), and then they get together, and that makes her life happy and perfect. The end. I obvs loved these books but I do NOT respect her arc as a character. She is weaksauce, as is this final movie. By far the worst in the series.

Oh man - I'm seeing the movie tomorrow; at least my expectations have been calibrated.

I think the argument they were making is that she becomes redeemed as a character by becoming a vampire. Sorta tho' because they also call her a mom bitch. The thesis is muddled.

Fair to say tho' Bella/Edward is a shitty relationship rolemodel.
