What are people thinking about the Black Magic Digital Cinema Camera?

The thing about the BMDC that impresses me the most is how the hell they got that quality for such a low price.

I'm not complaining. I'll take what they're offering. Good news is it could set a precedent and bring cam pricing down while offering pro features.

It is a disruptive camera. THAT is a good thing. Perhaps it will impact like the 5D2 did back in the day.

I had similar hopes for the Bolex but that will now be a hipster toy, for the most part.

i think because of the low entry point for price it's got that sort of shot but in a much more refined way than the 5D.
