Awesome list!! If you're exploring Durham on the weekend (before 3p), I would hit up Scratch for pastries, brunch, or coffee/espresso. How about Jubala Coffee at Six Forks Rd? I haven't been there, but I've only heard wonderful things about all their drinks (and waffles). ;)

I keep forgetting about Jubala and it is really close to our place! Good idea. I haven't been to Scratch yet. Have you been to Rue Cler?

Rue Cler in Durham is one of my favorite restaurants in the Triangle — simple French brasserie cuisine served with a smile. And it's just right around the corner from Scratch! You can get a really good lunch combo going, following up Rue Cler with coffee and a tasty pastry from Scratch.

@Charlie - Is Rue Cler a welcoming place for appetizers + side dishes + drinks on a Sunday afternoon? It looks like we're going to the Bulls game on Sunday evening.

Rue Cler is open on Sunday, but only for brunch (they close at 2pm). If I were you, I'd try Fullsteam — opens at noon, and they've got KoKyu there on Sunday (Korean BBQ truck, urbanspoon entry here: urbanspoon.com).

OOOOH. I love KoKyu - the duck fat tots rock my world.

We explored the Carolina Tiger Rescue (carolinatigerrescue.com) which I HIGHLY recommend to all of you. It was pure magic.

Among other things we were able to interact with Raj, a tiger that was full of personality, who rubbed up against his enclosure, purring and showing off for treats.

AMAZING.

Alright so if you're wanting to eat BBQ then there is the pit (most popular one in Raleigh), coopers bbq, and in Durham there is the Backyard BBQ pit. All of them are pretty popular I believe.
I also second the Durham Bulls, seaboard cafe, the museums, and Duke, State, UNC campus visits.
I know for NC State that Amedeos Italian Resaurant has tons of NC State sports memorabilia on the walls for the fans.
