Just to add the comment I made on Twitter: the HBO show "Girls" uses Cafe Grumpy in Greenpoint heavily. Hannah, the main character, gets a job there toward the end of Season 1, and the shop is used heavily as a location in Season 2 (I know because I work there a lot and have seen tons of production work going on). The shop is featured prominently in the new Season 2 teaser: youtube.com

I far prefer snively weasel Adam Scott (Friends with Kids, Eastbound and Down) to sweet and awkward Adam Scott (Party Down, Parks & Rec). So instead of a barista, Scott could be one week's guest star: a businessman that walks in on his phone, puts his stuff down at the next table next to our heroes while they work and asks them to watch his things. Then he holds up the line while talking on the phone as a poor barista is trying to take his order, then paces around outside the cafe for a couple of hours still on the phone. Probably speaks far too loudly of sexual conquests and "crushing it". When our heroes try to leave the cafe, Scott goes off on them for not taking care of his things.
