Building on the massive back and forth yesterday, I thought we could take it semi-offline and and spitball. I like the idea of a conference, but also think that those conversations tend to die as soon as people head back to their offices. I went with 'diversity' instead of race, for breadth.
I think it comes down to a few main discussions, though:
Advantages / Benefits of diverse organizations (basically creating a business case, because, to your point, these organizations are motivated by what moves the needle, not what makes people feel good)
Finding people from diverse sources (how do organizations being to find value from a larger net of potential hiring pools, rather than just saying 'hire more women and minorities'.)
Thoughts?
