Hey Dan, figured I should catch you up. Elissa stopped by on a whim tonight and caught me up on the sad coming conclusion to trp. She also told me about her plans to move the community to a new forum and enlisted me in the hunt for names. Between us, we arrived on the tentative name "Flux Society". This brings up a few interesting questions, what does a new name for an internet community imply? What are the members now called? Fluxers? Fluxies? Fluxites? Will members follow suit into a new identity?

1) I think it's a bit strange to expect members of a flux society to "follow suit" in any way.

I told her to just run with a very vanilla PHPBB forum for now, which shouldn't be too hard to set up, but if you wanted you could probably build her something pretty cool from scratch.

Fluxus I don't think is really overlap. I think theres enough pollution in the flux* namespace that no one will really identify one with the other.

That's true. And from what I remember from playing around with it a few years ago, PHPBB is pretty customizable. The showcase has some good examples of that, it looks like.
