With 2012 coming to a close, I'm curious to know what new ideas and/or projects Team #PhysEd members hope to bring into their Physical Education programs in 2013.

In 2013 (the very first day back) one of the school's I work with is rolling out Cooperative Learning to the whole school - with the PE department leading the professional development programme for the rest of the year. It will be interesting to see how it unfolds & how teachers transfer their learning and practice to others from different subject disciplines
I am looking to increase the number of #physed teachers in International Schools who use Twitter, especially in SIngapore through the use of #physedSG . I want to start advocating 21st Century #PhysEd more by presenting at conferences and PD workshops. Also to continue to grow iPhys-Ed.com to make it valuable tool and resource for the modern #physed teacher.
In the next year coming up I am looking forward to presenting and aiding at the state level through presentations about getting back to the basics of PE (creating teaching systems, flow of classes, and basic teaching methods). Also, trying to flip my gym and make it work in my low socioeconomic school.
To finish out the year I would like to try and get my Master's Thesis published!
I'm really excited about 2013.
One of my resolutions is to include a "pre-test" activity at the beginning of each unit I teach. I want to try to get better at measuring student learning and get a better idea of what works and what doesn't for my students.
I also want to get the parents more involved with my Physical Education program. On the top of my list is sending out newsletters that provide parents with information on how students are being graded and what activities parents could do at home to compliment learning.
Finally, I want to keep exploring new technology that can be used in the gym and refine my current technology workflow as a teacher.
2013 is going to be busy!
